"Determined to give you expert advice"

One great thing about Australia (though many may think it is not enough) is the first home-buyers grant from the government.

When my son built his first home, he received $14,000 from the government, which went a long way towards helping with the various initial fees.

The grant is a one-off "gift" for every Australian's first home. I am sure other countries may have something to help home buyers but first-home buyers???

Okay, so you have the grant, you've saved up (what you think) is enough money for a deposit etc.

However, unless you are a financial whiz, I reckon you won't go wrong seeking expert advice, either from one of the big banks, such as the Commonwealth, or a highly recommended mortgage broker.

When I tell my friends in Bangkok about the benefits of off-set accounts, I receive blank looks. Off-set accounts, investor advice, mortgage information etc etc are crucial so, if you live in Australia, make sure you ask your bank about them.

'Heineken The Entrance'

If you want to make an impact, you'll have to go the whole hog.... in this case the whole brewery.

Heineken is definitely going all out with its latest global campaign, which made its debut with The Entrance, followed by the video clip featuring the infectious hit single, The Golden Age', by Denmark's Asteroids Galaxy Tour, which is also the backing track for the campaign.

The Heineken adonis makes his entrance and turns the heads of everyone, from one-eyed pirates to a Bruce Lee lookalike to turbaned moguls and svelte beauties, and everyone in between.

He sure works up a thirst and what better way to quench it than with his favourite brew.
