'How to get rid of and protect against pests '

Ants, spiders, cockroaches, wasps .... ughh.

Pests make you sick, even the little itsy-bitsy benign-looking ants can spread disease and contaminate food (they carry samonella, strep and staph).

Cockroaches transmit dysentery, hepatitis and e coli.

Some problem areas can be easily addressed. For example:

* Seal pipes under your sinks with silicone (I learnt today that all it takes for a cockroach to enter a home is 1/16 of an inch!!!).
* Protect your exterior vents, drains etc properly.
* Look for damage to columns, and
* Avoid clutter near doors.

Stop these darn things from getting in because once they're in, your home becomes their home.
