The Making of a Cook Extraordinaire - Tsunamiaide

I've said it once (twice, thrice) and I will say it again ....

Aimee, my darling daughter with a heart of gold, never ceases to amaze me.

Tonight, in Perth, she will be hosting a dinner to raise money for Japan's tsunami victims.

In the great scheme of things, it (the proceeds) will be a drop in the ocean compared to what Japan will need to rebuild the ruined lives of countless people.

But that is not the point. What is is Aimee's incredible sense of compassion and empathy, her morale duty as a member of the world's community that makes it impossible for her to sit back, pretend that the everything is rosy and do nothing.

So, tonight, Aimee has gathered together close friends who will no doubt enjoy their dinner but have chosen to do so in the company of others who feel that every little contribution will count.

Aimee - and I have said this before - is a fabulous cook. So far away am I yet I can almost savour the wonderful aromas that must be wafting through the house as she works non-stop to create yet another meal to remember.

I am very proud of you Aimee. Never ever change.

PS: If you are planning a private dinner or a biggish event in Perth and would love the services of a caterer who cares about her cooking, contact Aimee or her mate, Felicity, at Flames Catering. Check out their FB page as well. Make sure you have a tissue handy as you will drool.
